PROGRAM THAT ENCOURAGE LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

At Precious Time Home Childcare, children from 12 months through 5 years old learn together in a thoughtfully designed mixed-age environment. Much like siblings growing up together, younger children learn by observing older peers, while older children build confidence, leadership, and empathy by helping those who are younger. As the sole primary caregiver, I have the unique opportunity to truly know each child- their personality, interests, strengths, and developmental needs. This allows me to build lasting relationships and thoughtfully adapt activities so every child is appropriately challenged, whether they are taking their first steps, expanding their vocabulary, or preparing for kindergarten.

We believe children learn best through play. That’s why we use The Creative Curriculum, For Preschool, a nationally recognized, research-based, play-centered curriculum that supports every aspect of a child’s development and whole child learning. Through hands-on exploration, meaningful relationships, and child-led learning, children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. I plan experiences that can be explored at multiple developmental levels. during the same activity. Every child participates together while learning at their own pace. Because our program is small and relationship-based, children enjoy the consistency of one trusted caregiver in a warm home environment where they feel safe, loved, and valued while growing into confident, capable, and curious learners.

Our daily experiences support all 10 areas of developmental and learning, including:

  • Social-Emotional Development
  • Physical Development
  • Language Development
  • Cognitive Development
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Science & Technology
  • Social Studies
  • The Arts
