The way children experience childcare is shaped by the environment, daily routines, and the people who guide them. These core values influence how our program is structured and how children learn, play, and interact.
Relationships Come First
Strong relationships are the foundation of everything we do.
Children thrive when they develop secure attachments with caring adults by feeling emotionally safe, confident, and ready to learn. We prioritize consistency, trust, and meaningful partnerships with families with no staff turnover.
Mixed-Age Learning
We believe children learn best when they learn together.
Just as siblings naturally teach and support one another, children of different ages inspire, encourage, and challenge each other every day. Younger children gain confidence by observing older peers, while older children strengthen their understanding by becoming mentors and role models.
Mixed-age learning encourages leadership, empathy, communication, collaboration, and confidence while allowing every child to contribute their own unique strengths.
Every Child Learns at Their Own Pace
Every child develops differently, and we celebrate those differences.
Rather than comparing children or expecting everyone to reach milestones on the same timeline, we provide individualized experiences that honor each child’s readiness, interests, abilities, and learning style.
Learning Through Open-Ended Play
Play is children’s most important work.
Children learn best through meaningful, hands-on experiences that encourage exploration, imagination, creativity, and problem-solving. We intentionally provide open-ended materials that allow children of different ages and developmental stages to learn together while each working toward their own developmental goals.
Children Learn by Doing
Children construct knowledge through active experiences.
Rather than simply giving answers, we encourage children to ask questions, experiment, observe, investigate, create, and discover. Our role is to thoughtfully prepare the environment, guide learning through meaningful conversations, and encourage children to become confident thinkers and problem-solvers.
Social-Emotional Growth Matters
Academic readiness begins with emotional well-being.
By nurturing kindness, empathy, resilience, confidence, independence, self-regulation, and respect, we help children develop the social and emotional skills that serve as the foundation for lifelong learning and healthy relationships.
Nature Is an Extension of the Classroom
Learning doesn’t stop at the door.
Outdoor play and nature exploration are an essential part of each day, providing opportunities for movement, scientific discovery, creativity, healthy risk-taking, and wonder. We believe some of children’s most meaningful learning happens outside.
Family Partnership
Families are a child’s first and most important teachers.
We value open communication, mutual trust, and collaboration as we work together to support every child’s development. By building strong relationships with families, we create consistency between home and childcare while celebrating each child’s unique personality, interests, and accomplishments.
Healthy Bodies Support Healthy Minds
Nutritious food is an important part of children’s growth and learning.
Included in tuition, we provide two nutritious snacks and a balanced lunch each day. As participants in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), our meals meet national nutrition guidelines and feature whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and healthy dairy. Our menu is thoughtfully planned around wholesome vegetarian meals, helping children develop healthy eating habits while fueling active play, exploration, and learning.
